Recognized by sight: the spore deposits on the pileus point away from a white spored genus. Although, i thought Laccaria at first as well.

The largest cap was 1-1/2" to 2" in diameter; the stems were about 1/8" and thinner and up to 1-1/2" long. A good portion of the cluster were still very small.
