Observation 197550: Marasmiaceae Roze ex Kühner
When: 2014-09-16
( 200m)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: To all the users and higher mycological autorities.
Please see my other observations Marasmiellus INODERMA on the list, http://mushroomobserver.org/species_list/show_species_list/914 .
Identification of this species is currently refused mainly by D. NEWMAN.
It requires that I write to, Dr. Denis DESJARDIN which is his employer and partner in various things. “If you do not believe me, write him yourself. Ded@sfsu.edu”
Mr Desjardin did not find this fungus Hawaii while it is well known!
I will speak subsequently of "Expertise of Marasmiellus Palmivorus rediscovered by Dr. desjardin. HE IS NOT MEMBER IN MO!
Following later

On COCONUT and also WOOD OF COCONUT-FLOWERS.

Your nonsense should really not be dignified with a response

but to clarify, Dr. Desjardin is neither my employer nor my “partner in various things.” He is a Marasmiologist, and when consulted about your many observations of marasmioid fungi, he concluded that microscopy would be necessary to identify to species any of those that I showed him, citing easy confusion with macromorphologically similar taxa. This is an axiom of fungal identification which you are famous for enthusiastically ignoring.

Dr. Desjardin’s lack of membership on Mushroom Observer is a perfectly ridiculous reason to call his authority into question. Then again, virtually everything connected to your account, GALL Alain of Tahiti, is ridiculous. May a power surge someday eviscerate your computer and leave us in peace.
