Three Fungi at various stages of maturity on live tree trunk. (possibly Stringy Bark). Caps were slightly sticky to touch. Stipes brown and well rooted to tree bark. Gills close. No specific aroma .

Fungi ID

I assumed that all three were the same species?. No other fungi were found on the surrounding trees. The area was difficult to survey due to the very steep landscape and dense foliage.. I was forced to remove the fungi from the tree to be able to properly take the photographs. Underfoot was loose and deep and presenting difficult circumstances for more detailed images in situ.

me of Pluteus. Something about the cap structure, I think. Not much else looks like Pluteus.
