Notes: Found by Joe Cohen at the annual BAMS “Mushroom Madness” walk with ranger Amy Wolitzer.
Growing on soil, among grass and moss, on a gentle slope, along a little ditch created by water.
Caps up to 10 mm, stems about 2 cm long.
Basidia mostly 4-spored, but 2-spored present too. One measured 30+6 x 9. Spores 9-12 × 5. Caulocystidia 35 × 7-8. Didn’t notice cheilocystidia (probably wasn’t looking hard enough and didn’t have thin enough preparation). Clamps in all tissues.
