Notes:
Specimen purchased from China under the name Ganoderma sinense, closer inspection determined this name was incorrect. It is presumed that these specimens were cultivated rather than collected in the wild.

Black in over all color, stipitate, laccate. Internal flesh light, firm, very hard transversed by dark laccate bands. Spores, small, moderately echinulate.
