Notes: Yellowish white caps with darker colored umbo and overhanging sulcate margin. Gills attached, subdistant, grayish white. Stipe covered in fine hairs, White at the apex, yellowish white along most of its length, and becoming reddish at the base which is covered in fine white down. Lignicolous on what I believe to be a decaying deciduous log. Found in mixed woods. Don’t remember tasting or smelling it. No spore print
