Notes: Found alongside road in short grasses and oak leaves under Interior Live Oak. Was broken when I saw it, vulva was present in soil. Bulbed base was apparent (not well photographed). Large ~ 7" dia.

Recognized by sight: pale yellow cap with sulcate margin, stout stipe, and white patches on cap as well as spring fruiting indicate this species.
