No herbarium specimen

Notes: White frosted portions of earth tongues (tips) covered in conidiophores. Unfortunately, no chlamydospores were present. The earth tongues are infertile Trichoglossum sp., due to youth.

I´ll try the tape lift. If succeed to have better results I’ll post them here.

Have you tried a tape lift? Works really well for making good slides of lots of conidial fungi because it keeps the conidia with the conidiophores, and in primarily one focal plane.

Cool find, I really thought these were Xylaria looking at the picture!

a good technique to remove the white fungus from the exsicata of the Trichoglossum, I would appreciate that he let me know.
