Notes: Cluster of five fleshy pored fungi on forest embankment in dry and gravel soil. Found in open to direct sunlight. Area Eucalyptus State Forest. No bruising evident when bisected.

described by McNabb from New Zealand is the closest I can get. The same thing occurs up in northern Queensland as well. One of the interesting things I’ve noticed in this bolete, is that it never seems to get riddled with insect larvae. Thanks Ian.
