Observation 199351: Agaricus L.

Two fungi growing in Eucalyptus forest in soil. Conditions wet with rain at time of find. These two were rather unusual in physical appearance. The more mature fungi had a rather large head and extremely thick stipe. Both felt firm when handled. They may be Russula, but at the time, I didn’t think to check the stipe for the breaking chalk effect.
The smaller of the two was badly infested, and this contributed to the browning colour change in the stipe. I have seen a lot of Russula of late but nothing like this pair.
