Notes: Viscid Cap, Veil on Stipe, white gills and stipe, unusual Gill structure (see pics). Found in Redwood Forest on leaf litter.

Recognized by sight: a bit soggy and blown out. There were likely warts on the cap that got washed off. Good job noticing the veil remnants on the stipe though! The weird gill structure is from being waterlogged and collapsing together.

Very interesting explanation for the gills. Considering the mushroom was found just after 3 days of rain, it makes perfect sense.
