Recognized by sight: Tawny caps with whitish floccose hairs/scales, hygrophanous cap in second photo (fading or changing color as it loses moisture), and clustered growth with rounded caps help identify it. But in the field, fragile, hollow white stipes would have been a useful feature. Shoudl produce a very dark spore print.
