…according to Tatiana Sanjuan. I think that Cordycipitaceae would be the best naming option.

as opposed to an entomopathogen. then again, those points/dots of white do look like mycelium erupting out of the exoskeleton. if an entomopathogen, then surely asexual, and most likely Beauveria.
