Notes: Parasitizing a very large Douglas fir. Montane habitat.

Approx 150ft tree. Many trees in canopy infected by this polypore, along with Fomitoporia tsugina, Fomitoporia hartigii and Fomitopsis pinicola(I’m sure there are plenty of F.officinalis lurking here too based on tree age and type).

Elevation: 3140ft.

Temp: low 50’s.
