I am still learning as I go and apparently I need to research what stipe and sessile are. I was reluctant to include that specimen given it has passed and correctly identifying would be difficult. It was however the first puffball I came across and the group of them were under a rather large cedar tree. When I return to the spot, I may be able to answer your question.
Does this have a stipe or is it sessile?
