Notes: One of the many Neotropical, black-footed Polyporus species, the diversity of which are a primary research topic for MICOLAB’s Elisandro Ricardo Drechsler-Santos and his Colombian student, Melissa Palacio.

Habitat: Alto Paraná Atlantic forest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alto_Paraná_Atlantic_forests)

Substrate: on fallen, moderately decomposed, white-rotted wood.
