Notes: Reminiscent of M. holoporphyria, but growing in an uncharacteristically clustered habit. Also shows significantly lighter pilei, though hygrophanity-induced “opaque-ing” of the cap surfaces was surely accelerated by the dry conditions in which these were observed.
Habitat: Alto Paraná Atlantic forest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alto_Paraná_Atlantic_forests)
Substrate: on leaf litter and rotting debris in soil beside trail.
Collectors: Danny Newman, Emmanuel Grassi, Vicky Vignale & Valeria Silva
