A common Neotropical species, recognized by the contrasting pale-reddish to pale-orange pileus and shock-white, crowded, shallow gills, the long, slender, meandering but generally equal stipe, and terrestrial habit. The carpophore is relatively sturdy as well, as is typical for the genus worldwide.
