Observation 201097: Fistulinella Henn.

Brown Capped fungi with pores. Edge of cap very sticky. Single specimen in Eucalyptus semi-rainforest and growing in soil. Notable insect damage.

and it fits Fistulinella, most nearly F. prunicolor; at least that’s what I’ll go with. Thanks, Ian.

species of Fistulinella recorded from Australia: F. mollis, F. prunicolor, & F. rodwayi. One of Watling’s papers from the Cooloola Sandmass series discusses all three species. Rather tough to sort out.
