Notes: Tricholoma virgatum? The spores are white, but virgatum is supposed to have an acute umbo which both of these lack. The pattern on the cap is very similar to the speciment in Miller and Miller’s “North American Mushrooms” p129.

The grey Trich’s are well, tricky :-). Shank’s section on Tricholoma in Agaricales in California is the way to get further.
