Observation 202064: Boletales E.-J. Gilbert

Notes: Medium sized fungi with Dark Brown Cap found growing in soil at base of dead stump. Stipe unuasully long, and thick and firm. Stipe Yellow near pileus and becoming desaturated towards the base, which is tending to be enlarged. Pores Yellow with some signs of age or parasitized.
No particular identifying aroma. Stipe displaying out area peeling effect. Single specimen only.

to be the same as what we found in Yarrahapinni on 22 April 2015. I have no name for this taxon. Possibly an Aureoboletus, but I can’t be sure at this stage.
