Yes, this is limestone glades. They do hold water often, but this guy on the rock off water. Let settle on D. muhlenbergii. Thank you a lot.

Does this look like it would ever be submerged, say, in a stream or seasonal pool? If not, then it’s probably one of the other species in the area. I think I see some of those calciphilous Verrucaria s.l. species in the photo, so I’m guessing this is a limestone or dolomite area(?) Which means the alternative species would be D. muhlenbergii or D. dolomitcum. (The former is the more common and widespread.)
