ichnusanus is a dedication to the island where the holotype was found “Ichnusa” ancient name for Sardinia. typical its very large pseudonetwork on the stipe and its very deep blue staining.surprisingly Xerophile species , it needs also less than 20 mm of rain after the dry mediterranean summer to produce sporophore in 10-12 days from the rains . it needs high temperatures also. unique species
