This form always confuses me

At some point it switches from being a really well-developed C. furcata to a really well-branched C. multiformis. And I never feel confident where to draw the line. This one is such a perfect little cushion. And I see some stem scales near the margins of the clump in the second photo (although multiformis may be able to do that, too).
