I see it now… on the right… red pores.

But B. subvelutipes pores would likely not mature to such a prominent yellow as seen in the large specimen. And as you say Terri/Donna, subvelutipes stipe generally shows more color variation than the solidly bright yellow (except for the reddish pot-holes, probably insect damage) seen here.

These have red pores

in the specimen on the right but in my experience the pores in B. subvelutipes group are round, and the stem is yellow at the apex but red below.

Pores should be red…
