Found on trunk of huge old Nothofagus in coastal forest kept open by grazing.
Dull light brown (dry) with somewhat thickened margins; glabrous; no maculae or any other markings on upper surface which is plane to weakly wrinkled; medulla and pseudocyphellae on underside are white; lower surface entirely covered with dark brown tomentum; apothecia common on upper surface near margins.
