Notes: Found on mossy base of Nothofagus trunk in deep coastal forest.
This is a much better match for the description given in South American Pseudocyphellaria (Galloway 1992): grayish to tan, matte, with conspicuous white pseudocyphellae on the upper surface; coarse to coralloid isidia on margins and scattered in spots laminally, associated with pseudocyphellae; medulla and lower pseudocyphellae clearly white; lower surface pale brown tomentose.
I couldn’t collect this since it was in a preserve.
