Observation 20369: Hohenbuehelia Schulzer
When: 2009-04-16
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This fungi was approximately 2.5cm to 3cm across, Shell shaped with two unusual side growths. The total overall length was approximately 5-6cm.
I am not sure if this is a normal habit of this specimen or was caused by the confines of the habitat. The root system was carrot like, and there seemed to be part of the mantle peeling away. The fungi was on a dead branch on the forest floor. There was no residue on top of the mantle only some discolourisation. The mantle was not sticky.
