Observation 203829: Amanita gemmata (Fr.) Bertill.
When: 2015-04-24

Notes: Beautiful cluster of A. Gemmatta(in moss w/Salal, Peltigera) on the edge of a gravel path.

Patches easily remove and are fragile(as with A.pantherina, mascaria, etc.). If this were indeed an A.aprica the patches would be stuck to pellicle of cap and would not wash or fall off easily, from my experience.

Elevation: 1600ft.

Temp: low 60’s.
