Recognized by sight: was this area burned? your delicate, thin walled, hollow-stemed fb sure looks like M. eximia, which has a strong correlation to fruiting in and around small watercourses. Perhaps it is not strictly associated with burns, and like many morels, can fruit in varying conditions?
it doesn’t correspond to any know “natural” morel, other than populiphila maybe, but that cap looks to be strongly attached. snyderi looks nothing like this.
