these are the darkest that I’ve ever found
and different from the rest.
Small dark are probably Morchella septentrionalis
found in a different section of the Provincial Park.

I’ll look at habitat
About 10 years ago I had a spot where I collected “black morels” that seemed different from the usual species (currently M. angusticeps). These remind me of the one I had collected. Habitat: large dying apple tree surrounded by white ash trees and spice bush.
