they have devoted themselves to a life of reverence for a Psathyrella. (At least I think that’s what the small mushroom is.) Last photo.

that was my old stomping ground back in Grammar School (I babysat for money to take horseback riding lessons in a Harms Woods stable) and High School (Niles North, next door to Old Orchard). Back then, I didn’t know a mushroom from a molehill, but I did know that I needed to be in the woods, as much as humanly possible.

Nice find of this broadly distributed morel.
