Notes: Calocybe gambosa, Lyophyllaceae, Agaricales. (Майский гриб, Вешенка майская, Калоцибе майский).
Whitish crowded mushroom with a fragrant mushroom odor.
Cap: 4-8cm wide, convex up to broadly convex and thick, margin curved in when young, yellowish-white or brownish-white, odor is strong and pleasant.
Flesh is white, loose when old.
Gills: attached with notching, narrow, close and moderately broad, whitish up to light cream or cream when died.
Stalk: 3-7cm long, 1.5-2.5cm thick and often narrowing toward base, minor enlarged down; white, yellowish-white near base, it looks some coarse fibrous when old.
Edibility: good and tasty.
Habitat: rare kind, scattered small groups or crowded clusters in grass on a rich soil in deciduous woods or nearby.
Season: May – June.
