Observation 204422: Mitrula elegans Berk.
When: 2015-05-16

Notes: Found in pools at the origin of three springs. Very few anywhere except at the spring origin. According to Beug, it is typical in pools only, not in moving water. But areas near the pools if moving, were not moving fast and no fruit bodies were seen there or at the edges of moving water. There may be a temperature component, too, that is, it may prefer the colder water of the springs.

The spores seem elliptic to cylindrical, which bodes well.
