Small primordial clusters peaking out from this red alder(Alnus rubra) tree. On the East side of the state at this time of year we find P.populinus fruiting similarly on Cottonwoods along multiple river corridors.
Multiple substrates along the lake trail here at Millersylvania today.

Elevation: Sea level.
Temp: low 60’s.
