Notes: Very large fruiting on roadside. Found beneath Douglas fir, Western hemlock and willow.
Cap: more hollow/free than standard G.esculenta or G.gigas.
Stipe: very thin, fragile, easily crumbling when handled. From head on angle approximately 3cm wide. Side view is thin(1cm).
Color: deep purplish red to orange brown.
