Notes: Ironically, this “natural” Morchella snyderi was fruiting on the edge of a campfire mixed with charcoal and charred logs. No burnsite morel species were found in any of the three camp sites here. I hypothesize this guy has been fruiting here every season for some time prior to this fire pit.
