Growing in outdoor container. It seemed to be growing from the soil, though last year I had added some beach grass on top for fertilizer (some of which is still visible). No stem that I could find.

I collected some and hope to have a friend take a look at the microscopic characters.

Structure of flesh

The true Peziza species (i.e. species with eguttulate ascospores) are difficult to determine without a deep study of micro-characters, especially structure of flesh, content of the paraphyses…
Peziza vesiculosa is an option
