Thank you for the information Debbie, I thought it was aprica but wasn’t positive. I did not know that about the warts I’ll have to check next time I see one.

orange to bright, day-glo yellow cap; warts that cannot be easily removed; basal volva can be similar to either a gemmata or a muscaria; PV fragile, often disappearing; spring mountain species.

next time, try scraping off those warts w/your fingernail. if white remains on the cap, it’s aprica.

contains serious toxins, similar to muscaria.
