Observation 205203: Conocybe Fay.

These were growing on the ground/humas, mostly singly, @ ~ 5800 ft.
Caps up to 4.2 cm across and hygrophanous.
Could not get a good spore print but they appeared to be a reddish brown and they were brown in KOH
Spores ~ 14.5-17.0 X 9.3-12.0 microns, ellipsoid(Qavg = 1.46), smooth with a broad germ pore.
Did not see any gill cystidia.
Not sure about the genus and the large spores seem to rule out several common species?

the work of Doug Smith, Tom Bruns, Erin Blanchard, Randy L, and many others have at this point found that this olive-green capped spring mountain Conocybe is undescribed.
