Observation 205241: Panaeolus (Fr.) Quél.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Tiny LBM with only a few neighboring mushrooms, collected in a cut grass area just off a parking lot on a busy road. There were dog feces a few feet away in the grass, though no mushrooms were growing directly on them.

Dome or cone shaped cap, less than 1 inch wide. Cap is dry, not sticky. Center “nipple” is flat, dry and wrinkled. Gills are free from stalk and are a medium brown. Spore print is a medium violet-brown. No obvious evidence of a veil.

Stalk is thin, spindly, hollow, same light brown as the cap. Bruises to a slightly darker brown.
