Dispersed colony of fruiting bodies emerging from the threshold between the tarmac and gravel shoulder of the southbound lane of US Hwy. 14, and extending for about 300 meters. Vegetation type: California inland desert chaparral atriplex. Spores grayish/tan, not examined under magnification. Odor: strong, of dried fish.
