Observation 205870: Tubulifera arachnoidea Jacquin
When: 2015-06-03
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found on the bark of a deteriorated fir tree. Multiple structures on substrate.

Could be non fungal(possibly a smut or egg sack?)

Will scope for spore information when and if available.

Elevation: 2800ft.

Temp: low 70’s.

Kept in my battery box to separate from all the B.rex-veris and Ramaria in our bags. Just pulled it out and it is bone dry and dusty(like a popped old puffball). Special thanks again to (Thomas Laxton) Tao of MO for all the links and help with this one. We found it two years ago near Olympia, WA...
