Hardwood area with birch, cherry, maple, beech.

I didn’t section the mushroom to check for staining. Probably L. snellii.

Spores 15-18 × 6-7. Print brown with a reddish tinge.

But the material is not high-quality. There was a lot of rain at the collection site this past week, and this mushroom must have been soaked at some point.

I got a couple other scaber stalks at a different location yesterday, probably the same species as this one, snellii I think.
