I would go with sect. Amanita rather than Validae based on the size and shape of the bulb. It appears to have resemblance with albocreata/multisquamosa/velatipes, but yours is exannulate (unless the ring fell off). This might be Amanita sp-S01. Rod Tulloss to the rescue. :-)
