Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: under live oak directly along the trail. Foul odor. Very thin patch of volva on the cap. Solid stipe w/out hollow chambers. Very fragile, more medial than apical annulus. Bulbous base with a thin saccate volva. beyond a doubt in section phalloides.

Recognized by sight: if it is this species, it is the first time that I have seen it here. Also the smallest fruit body that I have ever collected for this sp.: height 5.5 cm.
Based on microscopic features: spores large, amyloid, more ellipsoid than subglobose. taken from sporedrop.
range: 9.5-13.5 × 7-10 microns, ave. 11.37 × 7.43. Q = 1.53
Based on chemical features: KOH applied to partly dessicated fruit body did NOT produce bright yellow color, altho it did yellow slightly.
