There are taxa in the “amerirubescens” group that have a yellow volva.

The volva here is a pallid yellow, and the cap is not very yellow at all. I’m inclined to think that this mushroom falls among the various temporary codes of the form “sp-amerirubescens0x” and Amanita rubescens var. alba in the original sense of Coker.
