No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing in ground under mature Oak. 5 cm. cap diameter, dry and smooth except for slight tackiness around the perimeter, covered with brown, orange, yellow, and rust patches of pigment (see in situ photo) that disappear with maturity; stem height 4.5 cm. and 2 cm. wide, colored and textured like cap. Spore print creamy-white.
