Observation 20667: Omphalotus nidiformis (Berk.) O.K. Mill.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: These two rather large specimens (largest about 15cms) were growing from an old sleeper that was half buried in the soil. They appeared to be designed to catch water as they both still had water stored. The bodies were flexable but not soft. They were not sticky.
