I don’t have a lot of Entoloma resources! Bessette et al. (both big books) just have the E. abortivum and Miller did not mention twisted stalks!

But maybe most prominently in Entoloma. It’s a nice piece of evidence.

Going through Entoloma now. I was most persuaded by the nice tuft of mycelia and the twisty lines in the stem, but that stuff could be entirely common.
